A 10mm port was inserted at {{firstPort}} by open cutdown technique, then pneumoperitoneum was established. A Veress needle was inserted at {{veressSite}} and pneumoperitoneum was established. A 10mm port was then inserted at {{firstPort}}. An optical port was inserted at {{firstPort}}, then pneumoperitoneum was established. A 10mm {{secondPort}} port and two 5mm right subcostal ports were inserted under direct vision. The gallbladder fundus was grasped and retracted cephalad to visualise Calot's triangle. The {{peritonealAttachments}} were incised to mobilise the gallbladder, after which Calot's triangle was dissected {{calotsMethod}} until the Critical View of Strasberg was obtained.

The {{clipSequence}} were {{clipMethod}}. The gallbladder was then dissected off the liver and removed via the {{extractionSite}} {{extractionMethod}}. Haemostasis was confirmed, then {{drainage}}. {{peritonealLAVol}}ml {{peritonealLA}} was sprayed onto the parietal peritoneum. The ports were removed under direct vision. The linea alba at {{portFasciaClosed}} was closed with {{portFasciaSuture}}. {{portLAVol}}ml {{portLA}} was infiltrated at the port sites. The port sites were closed with {{skinClosure}}.
