This tool calculates the UK Kidney Recipient Risk Index used in the 2019 deceased donor matching scheme. The score is presented both numerically and in quartile of risk. The score is used to stratify potential recipients by expected post-transplant survival with the aim of matching to kidneys with similar expected long-term transplant function. There is a similar score called the EPTS used by OPTN in the USA.
